Guest SpeakerHighbury Ltd
Christi Mitchell,

Have you ever thought that you should really protect your IP and wanted to know what options are open to you and what costs are involved? How do you put a value on your IP and is the hassle and cost of protection worth it or is it better just to execute quickly and stay ahead of the market. Christi shared with us the various IP protection options that are open to you and likely costs for: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright, Design Registration etc.
Christi founded Highbury Ltd as an independent consultancy specialising in product and technology commercialisation and business development across a wide range of technical fields. Free Green Electricity
Gordon Wylie & Mike Sheridan -
Free Green Electricity Corporation
Have you ever wondered about the offers you see in newspaper to install free solar panels on roofs and reduce energy bills? FGEC invests in roof-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, primarily on suitable commercial and public sector buildings. It has completed a number of installations during the last 12 months and all of these systems are delivering attractive, index-linked returns to its investors from government-regulated Feed-In-Tariffs (FITs) for generated renewable electricity.
Roof owners benefit from use of this generated electricity free of charge for smaller PV systems and at a discount to market price for larger systems which have lower FITs.
FGEC has developed and used on its completed installations all of the necessary generic contract documents, marketing material, streamlined electronic business processes and installation partners to be both efficient and fully scalable up to at least 50 million investment in PV systems.
Gordon is a Chartered Engineer with an MBA from INSEAD and involved in a UK Energy Policy Working Group that recently published a paper: "Keeping the Lights On". Mike, an FCA has extensive experience of turnaround and growth situations as well as raising equity finance. Both have previously worked with clients in the renewable energy sector and have an in depth understanding of the market and participants.
