Guest Speaker
Lois Cook - Angels Den
Angels Den, the first fully national online service that connects UK business angels with entrepreneurs seeking investment. Angels Den's objective is to fill the equity funding gap between the amount of money that entrepreneurs want and need. Angels Den complements the services offered by existing business angel groups by facilitating deals with a value of up to 500,000.
Angels Den have access to one of the largest groups of Angels in the UK, with over 100 more joining every month. Angels love the service because they can quickly sort through well-presented, high quality investment opportunities. Over 2000 businesses have registered already. The process of finding business funding doesnt have to be as complicated as its made out to be. All that most people searching for investment need is a little Divine Inspiration from an Angel to provide the funding needed to help their businesses grow and flourish.
Business Pitches
Dick Wallis - PSLLifeAid from PSL is a GPS phone which enables lone workers and senior citizens to call for help and give their GPS location. LifeAid enables senior citizens to remain in their homes, rather than entering a nursing home or hospital. People much prefer to retain their independence in their own homes, thereby living longer and enjoying a better quality of life. Competitor systems are restricted to the home only, whereas LifeAid works globally, enabling people to get help anywhere.
PSL is seeking partnerships to bring LifeAid to market worldwide, and present an attractive investment opportunity in the rapidly-expanding Telecare sector.
Nick Hancock - TagTextTagText has developed a messaging product that allows people to send animated avatars to their friends via mobile, social networks and the internet.
TagText is fantastic for teens as it makes messaging a richer, more fun, more personalised experience. It's great for content owners as it provides a new revenue stream for their assets, and it's good for fashion, games and music marketers as it provides a peer-to-peer viral marketing tool for their brand.
Luke Razzell - Blog FriendsBlog Friends lets you track blog posts by your Facebook friends on topics that interest you, display those posts on your Facebook profile while they help you grow your blog readership for you in return.
